KARUN CHANDHOK & MURPHY PROTOTYPES FORCED TO RETIRE FROM THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS

Le Mans, France – Sunday 15th June 2014: Indian driver Karun Chandhok and his Irish Racing Team Murphy Prototypes were forced to retire from the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the 82nd running of the World’s greatest endurance race. It was a tough race with 19 cars retiring after early torrential rain showers created chaos in the field of 55 starters and set the tone for the Murphy Prototypes race.

Chandhok survives big crash in qualifying

France – Friday 13th June 2014: Murphy Prototypes have qualified their #48 Oreca 03R Nissan in sixth position for the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 category. It's lead driver and only Indian on the grid for the third year running Karun Chandhok was all set to qualify in the top 3 when he crashed into the Indianapolis corner at 270km/h but managed to walk away unhurt. Chandhok will be joined by Rodolfo Gonzalez and Nathanel Berthon as he attempts to put his LMP2 Nissan V8-powered Oreca 03 on the podium in his third attempt.

SUCCESSFUL SHAKEDOWN FOR KARUN...

Donington, June 05, 2014: The Mahindra Formula E team completed a successful shakedown of the team’s new Formula E car on Wednesday, at a wet Donington Park circuit in the UK. Taking part in the first ever shakedown for the 10 Formula E teams, Mahindra Racing drivers Bruno Senna and Karun Chandhok completed various system checks during the day’s running.

KARUN CHANDHOK TO DRIVE FOR MAHINDRA RACING IN INAUGURAL FIA FORMULA E CHAMPIONSHIP

Mumbai, May 26, 2014. Mahindra Racing today announced that India’s own Karun Chandhok and Bruno Senna will be the team’s drivers for the inaugural season of the FIA Formula E Championship. The duo will represent Mahindra when they line-up on the grid at the start of the world’s first ever fully electric championship in Beijing later this year.
