Karun’s Karting Karnival

Hi Guys,

Following on from a successful first event last year, I’ve decided to once again organise the UK edition of “Karun’s Karting Karnival” to raise money for educating underprivileged children in India .

The event will be a great chance for the non-paddock people to meet, race alongside and hang out with the experts from the world of F1 and Sportscars and raise a bit of money for charity.

Here are the highlights:-

  • The event is on Tuesday, the 21st of August with a 5pm reporting time at the track.
  • The Kart track is called Whilton Mill which is only 15 - 20 minutes from Silverstone and very close to Towcester. The address is Whilton Mill, Whilton Locks, Nr Daventry, Northamptonshire NN11 2NH. Tel: 01327 843822 ; email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • We will have a 30 min practice / quali followed by an Enduro race which is now longer than before at 90 minutes.
  • Every team consists of 3 drivers with half the grid made up of paddock folk and half the teams open for members of the public and fans to enter.
  • We ask that you make a donation of £60 pounds per driver to my family charity, The Vishnu Devananda Charitable Trust in India.
  • Please be re-assured that  any money donated will go only to the charity as Whilton Mill has kindly offered to cover the cost of the event. There is no cost to the people driving for the karts or the food ( we have a BBQ planned ), all we ask is that you make the donation to the charity. Donations can be made on the day in cash to a member of the Whilton Mill team.
  • We already have F1 experts from Autosport, Radio 5 Live, JRM Racing, Speed TV, F1 Racing, Motorsport Magazine, ESPN and newspapers like Metro and the Independent so plenty of motorsport fever and knowledge to share !
  • TAG Heuer have kindly donated watches as a prize for the winning team once again !

We ask that you enter as a team and not as individual drivers. The teams will be allocated on a first come – first serve basis to fill the 8 remaining slots.

So come on, round up two friends and send a confirmation e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ! Please put “Karun’s Karting Karnival” in the subject to make sure we spot your mail !

Cheers,
Karun.
